My name is Hope Inselmann. I am a native of North Carolina where I received a BS in Mathematics and Certification to teach from Meredith College in 2000. I was a recipient of the North Carolina Teaching Fellows Scholarship, through which I earned money for college and summer trainings outside of my degree. I also completed the Performance Based Licensure Program for NC teachers. I taught Algebra I, Algebra II, and Advanced Math in North Carolina for three years and did some private tutoring before moving to Texas to marry my husband, Ryan, in 2003.
I began working at Sylvan learning center in March of 2003, where I worked with students of all ages and received extensive training in use of manipulatives. I continued to work with their after school program for several years after becoming certified for math grades 6-12 in TX and beginning a full time Math position at Denton High School in the fall of 2003. During my 6 years at Denton High, I taught Algebra I, Regular and Pre-AP Algebra II, and Geometry. I also coached the UIL Math team and ran the UIL program for the Middle Schools. I also am trained to teach in the Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme for the International Baccalaureate programme.
I began tutoring privately in Texas in 2007 and have tutored students from third grade all the way up to college, including Pre-Cal, Calculus and Statistics. I started Hope 4 Math tutoring in 2009 so that I would be able to stay home with my children during their early years and have comtinued to do so now that they are school age. I was a founding member of the All Your Mind Math program and taught classes from home school studens for ten years in that capacity before offering online classes on my own.
I’ve been a Christian as long as I can remember and this impacts how I live my life, raise my children, and teach my students. I was a counselor at a Christian youth camp for three summers. I was active in Campus Crusade for Christ in College and continue to be active in my church though attending and leading Bible studies, serving in the children’s programs, and assisting with the worship team depending on the season of life. I am a graduate of the Bible Training for Church Leaders (BTCL) program and have served as a leader in the children’s program for Bible Study Fellowship (BSF)
